About Me

My photo
Alex Beisser
I am a highly skilled senior Information Assurance professional.

I developed a passion for promoting Information Governance as a key enabler for sharing data in a safe and effective manner to radically improve the services that local people receive from the NHS, local authorities as well as the private and voluntary sector.

I am also involved in the London Caldicott Guardian network to enhance my appreciation of using clinical data to offer better patient focused care across organisational boundaries in an ethical manner. I also have an interest in RFID technology to improve patient safety in the healthcare industry.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling to Southeast Asia (especially Indonesia), cooking Indochinese food and learning from health informatics developments in the Far East. I enjoy learning about (and from actually) healthcare initiatives across the globe, improving access to healthcare in the ASEAN countries, augmented reality in healthcare settings, medical informatics, RFID for blood transfusion management, social media to improve disaster relieve efforts, swimming, world affairs and others.
